Tour Providers

There are many good tour providers for travel. This page includes those I have used personally, or otherwise recommend. This list will grow, so check back to see what has been added.  There are many good ones out there, both in the United States and overseas. Use this page as a resource for planning independent travel, perhaps in addition to group travel which is what I do these days. It really provides the best of both experiences.     Next time you come to Prague, let me know, I will definitely help you to expand the list of local providers :-D, whether you will be looking for another trip to Terezin or other WWII Memorial Lidice. You made a great list already. I envy your trip to Iceland, that is on my to-do list. Good luck from Prague. Martin

    Your selection of tour providers is excellent Jann. I would only suggest adding at least some specialized tour operator for southern Spain, as none of the stated travel agencies for Spain are focused in this particular area. Please have a look at our company, Terra Traditions; we have been crafting custom private tours in southern Spain since 2009.

    Jann to answer your question from the OAT forum. I'm heading to Albania and Macedonia in October. Am using Adventures Abroad as I did for the Egypt trip last year. That tour was FANTATIC. I know AA isn't high on your travel company list, but because I can only book on relatively short notice, it works for me.

    I am stunned at how much money I saved by arranging the flights myself. Just shows you're never too old to learn something new.

    Hi Jann, I have read many of your posts on OAT's Forum as my husband and I are 18 times travelers with OAT, but we travel with other companies just as you do. In your Central/South America list, you might want to check out and add Costa Rica Expeditions (we've used them 5 times) and Neblina Forest, located in Ecuador but they also go to other South American countries. Both have Eco-tourism as their focus but will do cultural/historical tours also. Wonderful to work with if you want to plan a small group tour with your own itinerary.
